About Keystone
Long enough to know that good estate planning is about the long picture — not a single product, not a quick sale.
I came to estate planning through financial services. Pensions, investments, the long arithmetic of retirement. That background changes how you think about estate work — you stop seeing it as a one-off product and start seeing it as the last few decades of a much longer plan.
Over the years I've watched the same patterns repeat. Couples arriving with two wills that contradict each other. Trusts sold as care-fee solutions that couldn't possibly do that job. Adult children blindsided by intestacy because a marriage quietly revoked a will nobody re-wrote.
I set Keystone up to do estate planning the way I'd want it done for my own family — independently, calmly, and with proper attention to the long shape of things.
If you can't explain it round a kitchen table, it isn't yet a plan.
Care home fees are a real concern. They are also the most over-promised thing in our industry. We don't trade on worry.
The best plan written today is one that still works in twenty years. We plan that way — and we review it as life moves.
Twenty-five years' experience in estate planning. A background in financial services. Independent practice — not a panel firm and not tied to a single product provider. Working with clients across England and Wales, most often by video call, occasionally in person.
